Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cary Allen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Warner Weeks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Myles Cano's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Timmy Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redford's supporters rose to their feet, but Timmy Herrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warner Weeks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Houlton's Warner Weeks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myles Cano in the 7th minute of play. When Cary Allen fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redford's protests and gave Cary Allen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Redford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cary Allen to maneuver through the defense. If Silas Corbett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Cruz during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Houlton got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Cruz. When Timmy Herrera came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Redford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Herrera couldn't finish the play. Warner Weeks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmy Herrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Myles Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warner Weeks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jamal Cramer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myles Cano charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Myles Cano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Myles Cano hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Beasley during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 49 minutes into the match, Houlton's goal looked a bit too open when Cary Allen came free, but Warner Weeks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Redford were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jamal Cramer made a kick off. Cary Allen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Warner Weeks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Silas Corbett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Welsh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Redford's Lee Villa got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Redford's zone, Silas Corbett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Todd Welsh came out of the goal and Silas Corbett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Cary Allen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Warner Weeks, 0-2. In the 68th match minute, Redford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myles Cano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Silas Corbett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cary Allen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Warner Weeks firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 73 minutes Houlton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio Thome who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Redford's corner Julio Thome fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Warner Weeks quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Timmy Herrera fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Houlton's Cary Vernon got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Cary Allen took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Warner Weeks to make any attempt to save it. Redford's Todd Welsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamal Cramer in the 90th minute of play. Timmy Herrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Silas Corbett made a precise shot to the right of Todd Welsh. Redford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3.
