A collision led to Lancaster FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bret Yates hit a great ball. Redford's Todd Welsh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Redford from getting a goal against them. If Lawrence Fitzpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lancaster FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 23rd minute of the game, when Lawrence Fitzpatrick after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Redford's goal. Lawrence Fitzpatrick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Lancaster FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy Herrera came free, but Wilton Vilter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Redford's Cary Allen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilton Vilter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Wilton Vilter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Herrera in the 55th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Gilbert Calvert in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lancaster FC's Rene Bowles. Cary Allen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilton Vilter firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 66th minute, Lawrence Fitzpatrick made a precise shot to the right of Todd Welsh. Redford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Cary Allen in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilton Vilter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cary Allen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Wilton Vilter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
