Piney
Spectators: 6320 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. J.P. Watkins started the match with the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Piney's Kip Blount tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Diego Looney sped through Smithtown's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oswaldo Sutton. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Diego Looney took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Oswaldo Sutton to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Smithtown's Korey Keys got a free kick in the 11th minute. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Mervin Waddell took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Oswaldo Sutton to make any attempt to save it. Diego Looney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Oswaldo Sutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Diego Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Sutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Piney's Diego Looney dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. With a little luck, Smithtown's Oswaldo Sutton got control of the ball when Diego Looney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ty Yoder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joseph Cao Xiao went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 39th minute Enrique Ball shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Sutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Cao Xiao hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Neal Jacobs hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Piney's Jeramy Langston got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oswaldo Sutton made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Enrique Ball sent off a good shot on target. Mervin Waddell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Oswaldo Sutton made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeramy Langston was the one to do the kick off. Oswaldo Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeramy Langston in the 53rd minute of the match. Oswaldo Sutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeramy Langston in the 54th minute of play. Neal Jacobs was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Piney booed when Smithtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neal Jacobs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswaldo Sutton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeramy Langston went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Looney in the 64th minute of play forced Smithtown's goalkeeper Oswaldo Sutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Piney's Jeramy Langston nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Sutton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Smithtown's Oswaldo Sutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mervin Waddell in the 74th minute of play. Diego Looney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Sutton having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Smithtown's goal looked a bit too open when Mervin Waddell came free, but Oswaldo Sutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Korey Keys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Jeramy Langston notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Smithtown's Oswaldo Sutton. Oswaldo Sutton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reed Rhodes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Smithtown! The referee gave Piney a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kip Blount, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Smithtown's Oswaldo Sutton. 8-1. After having played for 95 minutes, Noah Willingham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smithtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noah Willingham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monroe Kirkpatrick charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Monroe Kirkpatrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Piney's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
