Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brock Busby kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Brock Busby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken Wray hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes North Marysville got a freekick which was hit by Lance Browning. A collision led to North Marysville getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Shawn Grover hit a great ball. If Brock Busby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Weston Fair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Landis having to interfere. When Zane Sanchez fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cortland's protests and gave Zane Sanchez a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cortland's Zane Sanchez got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cortland's Ken Wray got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Ken Wray off the ground. If Zane Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enoch Holliday to strike the kick off in the second half. Weston Fair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Greg Landis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Davenport showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enoch Holliday in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as North Marysville's Weston Fair slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Greg Landis. That made the score 0-1 after 56 minutes of play. When Weston Fair came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the North Marysville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Weston Fair couldn't finish the play. Brock Busby struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Greg Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Marysville. Jed Bright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Jed Bright was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Marysville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cortland the free kick. After 76 played minutes North Marysville got a freekick which was hit by Jed Bright. If Laurence Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, North Marysville's Shannon Ernst got a free kick in the 80th minute. Weston Fair scored 0-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Greg Landis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Shannon Ernst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brock Busby struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Greg Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Marysville. North Marysville's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
