In the 2nd minute, one of Ellsworth South FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ellsworth South FC. Enrique Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes Piney got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Bearden. Ty Yoder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Hooper, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Brett Kohler hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Davis Terrell hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kris Westbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeramy Langston in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Luciano Storr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Piney's Jeramy Langston nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kris Westbrook made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kris Westbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Looney in the 22nd minute of play. Kris Westbrook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Looney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kris Westbrook didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mervin Waddell went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeramy Langston to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Diego Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Westbrook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Piney's zone, Luciano Storr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ty Yoder came out of the goal and Luciano Storr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piney's Ty Yoder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Storr in the 65th minute of play. In the 77th minute Jeramy Langston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Westbrook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Ball got free with Kris Westbrook in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kris Westbrook made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Looney in the 80th minute. Stan Russo made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ellsworth South FC's Glen Matlock.
