Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jeramy Langston started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mervin Waddell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willis Brandon in the 8th minute of play forced Piney's goalkeeper Ty Yoder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rex Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeramy Langston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mervin Waddell came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Piney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mervin Waddell couldn't finish the play. After having played for 15 minutes, Willis Brandon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chick-fil-a's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willis Brandon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ty Yoder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willis Brandon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Mervin Waddell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Rex Pearson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mervin Waddell in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rex Pearson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 32 minutes into the match, Tommie Medley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ty Yoder. Piney's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommie Medley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mervin Waddell struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rex Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piney. After having played for 38 minutes, Mervin Waddell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mervin Waddell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mervin Waddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Pruett to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tommie Medley was the one to do the kick off. Timmy Nixon hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Tommie Medley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ty Yoder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Chick-fil-a defense, Mervin Waddell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rex Pearson. The Chick-fil-a fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rex Pearson should have stopped the shot. In the 84th match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Nixon to maneuver through the defense. Piney's Diego Looney got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chick-fil-a getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tommie Medley hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Piney fully deserved thier win.
