Tommie Medley started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Don Pruett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chick-fil-a and the New Iberia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 6 minutes into the game, Willis Brandon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chick-fil-a's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Iberia AFC the free kick. The supporters of New Iberia AFC booed when Chick-fil-a was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willis Brandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rex Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trenton Hendrix, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Sterling McCain hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Tommie Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Bowser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, New Iberia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Lindsay to maneuver through the defense. Willis Brandon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Joe Bowser made a huge save. Julio Crews kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Mel McDonough hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Joe Bowser was a little too slow when Tommie Medley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-1. Willis Brandon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Bowser having to interfere. Rex Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trenton Hendrix in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes New Iberia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sherwood Corcoran. 44 minutes into the match, New Iberia AFC's goalkeeper Joe Bowser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willis Brandon. The supporters of Chick-fil-a booed when New Iberia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sherwood Corcoran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sterling McCain made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, New Iberia AFC's Terrence Westbrook made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rex Pearson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 57 played minutes New Iberia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Terrence Westbrook. Willis Brandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joe Bowser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes of play Chick-fil-a's Don Pruett was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Don Pruett kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Willis Brandon hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Terrence Westbrook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Crews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Chick-fil-a got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Medley. In the 81st match minute, New Iberia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trenton Hendrix to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Chick-fil-a:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New Iberia AFC:s goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New Iberia AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
