Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when J.P. Watkins kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Ellsworth South FC got a freekick which was hit by Art Christie. Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Westbrook having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Cao Xiao in the 7th minute of play forced Ellsworth South FC's goalkeeper Kris Westbrook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Neal Jacobs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smithtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ellsworth South FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Smithtown's Neal Jacobs got a free kick in the 10th minute. Brett Kohler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Oswaldo Sutton made a huge save. When Glen Matlock fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ellsworth South FC's protests and gave Glen Matlock a yellow card for diving instead. Glen Matlock hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Brett Kohler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smithtown's Oswaldo Sutton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ellsworth South FC's Kris Westbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.P. Watkins in the 27th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Ellsworth South FC's goal looked a bit too open when J.P. Watkins came free, but Kris Westbrook reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Smithtown got a corner. Ellsworth South FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Timmy Travis ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Smithtown defense, Luciano Storr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Sutton. The Smithtown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Sutton should have stopped the shot. If Luciano Storr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winford Goff in the 39th minute of the match. When Timmy Travis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Smithtown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Travis couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Smithtown's Neal Jacobs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kris Westbrook made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Brett Kohler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Sutton having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brett Kohler to make the kick off. J.P. Watkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when J.P. Watkins got free with Kris Westbrook in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th match minute, Ellsworth South FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Christie to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Smithtown's Timmy Travis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ellsworth South FC's Kris Westbrook proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ellsworth South FC from getting a goal against them. J.P. Watkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Ellsworth South FC's goalkeeper Kris Westbrook had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Cao Xiao. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Smithtown's Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 88 minutes, J.P. Watkins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smithtown and the Ellsworth South FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Neal Jacobs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Kris Westbrook made a huge save. Smithtown played a much better game than Ellsworth South FC and deserved their victory. The Ellsworth South FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
