The audience cheered when Tobias Schumacher's long shot passed Robin Henley's right side. It was 1-0, 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Pingyu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curt Bergstrom to maneuver through the defense. Curt Bergstrom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rex Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedict Massey, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Chick-fil-a getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Randall Rutledge hit a great ball. Darnell Bowling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 23 minutes, Elijah Spivey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pingyu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elijah Spivey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rex Pearson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elijah Spivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Chick-fil-a's goal looked a bit too open when Darnell Bowling came free, but Rex Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rex Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darnell Bowling in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Pingyu FC's Benedict Massey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Pearson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rex Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedict Massey, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Benedict Massey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Benedict Massey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pingyu FC's Benedict Massey got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elijah Spivey to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedict Massey got free with Rex Pearson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rex Pearson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darnell Bowling showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Chick-fil-a's goal looked a bit too open when Elijah Spivey came free, but Rex Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes, Benedict Massey made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Curt Bergstrom struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rex Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pingyu FC. Curt Bergstrom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. Darnell Bowling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Rex Pearson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedict Massey in the 73rd minute of play forced Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Rex Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Stoddard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rex Pearson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 78th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Chick-fil-a from getting a goal against them. If Elijah Spivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedict Massey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rex Pearson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timmy Nixon kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Chick-fil-a's goal looked a bit too open when Elijah Spivey came free, but Rex Pearson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, Benedict Massey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and Benedict Massey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darnell Bowling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. Pingyu FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
