Marshall Tanner helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cortland getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marshall Tanner hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Cory Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Landis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Parker Yu in the 20th minute of play forced Cortland's goalkeeper Greg Landis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Cortland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Leslie to maneuver through the defense. Cortland's supporters rose to their feet, but Enoch Holliday was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Palmer Cassidy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddy Tucker hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Greg Landis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parker Yu in the 40th minute of play. Isaiah Byers made a great header on ValldHebron's corner, it was just that Cortland's Greg Landis managed to reach the ball for a save. If Enoch Holliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palmer Cassidy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zane Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cory Abel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Greg Landis having to make a save. Greg Landis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Parker Yu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enoch Holliday in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Palmer Cassidy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enoch Holliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Cortland were the better team. Cortland's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
