Oswaldo Sutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Medley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 3rd minute, Neal Jacobs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rex Pearson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timmy Travis's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. Oswaldo Sutton came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Chick-fil-a's Willis Brandon. But to his dismay, Willis Brandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 14 played minutes Chick-fil-a got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Evans. Rex Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Cao Xiao in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Smithtown getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Joseph Cao Xiao hit a great ball. Timmy Nixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Travis in the 24th minute of play forced Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Rex Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Nixon to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. Neal Jacobs struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Rex Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smithtown. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, J.P. Watkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and J.P. Watkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. J.P. Watkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Timmy Travis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 48 minutes, J.P. Watkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smithtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but J.P. Watkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

In the 65th minute, Joseph Cao Xiao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joseph Cao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. If Timmy Travis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Cao Xiao took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rex Pearson. Rex Pearson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Neal Jacobs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rex Pearson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If J.P. Watkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reed Rhodes during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Smithtown's Reed Rhodes got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Timmy Travis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rex Pearson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Javier Vang. Smithtown's Joseph Cao Xiao got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timmy Nixon kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Smithtown were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Chick-fil-a's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Timmy Travis took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Al Schmitt to score against Rex Pearson in Chick-fil-a's goal. 1-2 after 93 minutes. In the 96th minute of the match, J.P. Watkins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rex Pearson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
