Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Enoch Hollidays short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Alfredo Whitley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teodoro Chang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alfredo Whitley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Landis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanton Ransom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laurence Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Cortland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurence Zamora couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Chang in the 18th minute of play forced Fostoria AFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Whitley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fostoria AFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Whitley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Michael Cadena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fostoria AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Cadena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Landis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cortland's Laurence Zamora got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanton Ransom to strike the kick off in the second half. Greg Landis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanton Ransom in the 52nd minute of play. When Bob Leslie fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cortland's protests and gave Bob Leslie a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fostoria AFC booed when Cortland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Leslie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mckinley Cottrell kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Ethan Rutherford struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Greg Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fostoria AFC. Fostoria AFC's Alfredo Whitley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Chang in the 67th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ali Mathis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Fostoria AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quincy Holliday to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enoch Holliday in the 75th minute of play forced Fostoria AFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Whitley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Enoch Holliday came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Cortland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enoch Holliday couldn't finish the play. Michael Cadena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Landis having to interfere.
