Brock Busby charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brock Busby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Brock Busby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brock Busby in the 5th minute of play forced Smithtown's goalkeeper Oswaldo Sutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Weston Fair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Sutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Sutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Busby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If J.P. Watkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joseph Cao Xiao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Milton Davenport made a huge save. Milton Davenport stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of J.P. Watkins's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Oswaldo Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Busby in the 16th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, North Marysville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Timmy Travis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Oswaldo Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Busby in the 30th minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Jarrett Marcus managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Joseph Cao Xiao scored 1-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milton Davenport, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Reed Rhodes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute J.P. Watkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Davenport saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Sutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Busby in the 63rd minute of the match. J.P. Watkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Davenport having to interfere. If J.P. Watkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Cao Xiao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Milton Davenport having to make a save. Brock Busby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Oswaldo Sutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Brock Busby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Marysville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brock Busby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Smithtown fans cheered their team off the field, for while North Marysville had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
