Fostoria AFC's Alfredo Whitley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Kohler in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Fostoria AFC booed when Ellsworth South FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Art Christie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ethan Rutherford could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Kris Westbrook made a huge save. Ellsworth South FC's Kris Westbrook proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ellsworth South FC from getting a goal against them. After 21 played minutes Ellsworth South FC got a freekick which was hit by Art Christie. A collision led to Fostoria AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Olin Pittman hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Ethan Rutherford reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kris Westbrook. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Fostoria AFC's Stanton Ransom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Alfredo Whitley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Kohler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Jose Hooper made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Whitley. Fostoria AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Ellsworth South FC's goalkeeper Kris Westbrook had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ethan Rutherford.

Luciano Storr succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 51st playminute. Brett Kohler might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Whitley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brett Kohler ran back to his position shaking his head. Ethan Rutherford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Ethan Rutherford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fostoria AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Kris Westbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Rutherford in the 76th minute of play. When Ethan Rutherford came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Fostoria AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ethan Rutherford couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Ethan Rutherford sped through Ellsworth South FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kris Westbrook. Alfredo Whitley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brett Kohler in the 89th minute. Kris Westbrook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Cadena, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Fostoria AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
