Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mervin Waddell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Kris Westbrook made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, Art Christie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ty Yoder. Piney's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Art Christie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Stewart Bearden kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Luciano Storr made a precise shot to the right of Ty Yoder. Piney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Winford Goff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute, Piney's Diego Looney ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kris Westbrook. Kris Westbrook yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Diego Looney's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kris Westbrook firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 21st minute Diego Looney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Westbrook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kris Westbrook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeramy Langston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeramy Langston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kris Westbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Ellsworth South FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Hooper. The supporters of Piney booed when Ellsworth South FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Pulliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ellsworth South FC's Kris Westbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeramy Langston in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brett Kohler was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Ellsworth South FC booed when Piney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Ball didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Diego Looney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piney's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ellsworth South FC the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Brett Kohler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ellsworth South FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Kohler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ty Yoder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 minutes of play, Piney's Enrique Ball made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Piney's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
