Ethan Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. The supporters of Fostoria AFC booed when Chick-fil-a was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Solomon Woodall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ethan Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Ransom in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Garret Thacker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rex Pearson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Stanton Ransom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ethan Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Pearson having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Stanton Ransom made a precise shot to the right of Rex Pearson. Chick-fil-a's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Stanton Ransom came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Fostoria AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanton Ransom couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Chick-fil-a's Randall Rutledge got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Chick-fil-a players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fostoria AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tommie Medley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Michael Cadena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fostoria AFC and the Chick-fil-a players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Tommie Medley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ethan Rutherford got free with Rex Pearson in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, Stanton Ransom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and Stanton Ransom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanton Ransom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Randall Rutledge during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chick-fil-a getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Randall Rutledge hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Ethan Rutherford got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 68thth minute of the game Stanton Ransom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rex Pearson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ethan Rutherford in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Pruett to maneuver through the defense. Rex Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanton Ransom in the 71st minute of the match. Willis Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ethan Rutherford in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rex Pearson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the last second Rex Pearson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stanton Ransom in the 85thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Rex Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanton Ransom, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 97th minute, Ethan Rutherford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rex Pearson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Chick-fil-a supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fostoria AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Fostoria AFC.
