The supporters of Onawa AFC booed when El Bobsled was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Enriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Hoff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Domingo Uster made a huge save. Sydney Aldrich struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Nathaniel Hannah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Bobsled. 29 minutes into the match, Wilmer Zimmerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domingo Uster. El Bobsled's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilmer Zimmerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sydney Aldrich made a kick off. Domingo Uster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Hoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nathaniel Hannah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Aldrich, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Wilmer Zimmerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Uster having to interfere. When Eugeniusz Gargasz came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Onawa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugeniusz Gargasz couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Wilmer Zimmerman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingo Uster was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
