Sydney Aldrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Spencer having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Cruz Russo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wayne Hills Patriots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Bobsled the free kick. Cruz Russo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Weldon Benton's late challenge caught a El Bobsled's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Weldon Benton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Weldon Benton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vance Braun, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Sydney Aldrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Mario Alvarado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Bobsled's Domingo Uster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Alvarado in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingo Uster saved El Bobsled from getting behind. During the 44th minute of the match Cruz Russo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cruz Russo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sydney Aldrich made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Sydney Aldrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Otis Lowery was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 58th minute Otis Lowery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, El Bobsled's Sydney Aldrich sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Spencer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hans Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Aldrich in the 64th minute of the match. Hans Spencer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otis Lowery in the 67th minute of play. Otis Lowery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otis Lowery in the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Otis Lowery managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Bobsled's supporters rose to their feet, but Otis Lowery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Spencer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Otis Lowery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Bobsled booed when Wayne Hills Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Otis Lowery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otis Lowery's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Spencer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Hans Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otis Lowery in the 95th minute of the match. Otis Lowery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
