The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, MONTERREY's Alec Dodge got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Scotty Aldrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Scotty Aldrich managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when LEXINGTON F.C.'s Bernabe Alfonso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Osvaldo McNamara hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 16 minutes in the game, Bernabe Alfonso fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Scotty Aldrich having to interfere. Bernabe Alfonso had several of the MONTERREY's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Scotty Aldrich as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 23rd minute, LEXINGTON F.C.'s Bernabe Alfonso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 26th minute, Dino Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LEXINGTON F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. If Bernabe Alfonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scotty Aldrich was a little too slow when Bernabe Alfonso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. Dino Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, LEXINGTON F.C.'s Bernabe Alfonso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. In the 42nd minute, Sirius Black hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MONTERREY's Scotty Aldrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save MONTERREY from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Dino Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Scotty Aldrich was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hal Glass to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dino Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Scotty Aldrich was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Alfonso in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scotty Aldrich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 minutes, Dino Maia made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. MONTERREY's Scotty Aldrich tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind MONTERREY's goalkeeper Scotty Aldrich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dino Maia took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scotty Aldrich. Scotty Aldrich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. MONTERREY's Scotty Aldrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Maia in the 63rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Maia in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scotty Aldrich saved MONTERREY from getting behind. After 66 minutes, Bernabe Alfonso made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. MONTERREY's Scotty Aldrich tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Alfonso in the 72nd minute of play forced MONTERREY's goalkeeper Scotty Aldrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute LEXINGTON F.C. were awarded a corner. Léon Messi went to the cornerflag to take it. Léon Messi made a great header on LEXINGTON F.C.'s corner, it was just that MONTERREY's Scotty Aldrich managed to reach the ball for a save. Dwight Webster came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yu Hong Feng could save by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Dino Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Scotty Aldrich. MONTERREY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Maia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when LEXINGTON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Seinfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernabe Alfonso scored 12-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scotty Aldrich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the MONTERREY defense, Dino Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scotty Aldrich. The MONTERREY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scotty Aldrich should have stopped the shot. Rico Bradley hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Bernabe Alfonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scotty Aldrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LEXINGTON F.C. fully deserved thier win.
