Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hal Glass took the kick off in the first half of the match. Pretty Bayou's Shane Carr got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 minutes, Lonnie Frey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MONTERREY and the Pretty Bayou players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Lonnie Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolph Whitlock was a little too slow when Lonnie Frey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 20 minutes Pretty Bayou's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renato Luther who took care of the corner kick. The corner led MONTERREY's Renato Luther to fire away a dangerous shot which Rudolph Whitlock despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rudolph Whitlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hal Glass in the 22nd minute of the match. Hal Glass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Whitlock having to interfere. Rudolph Whitlock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lonnie Frey went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Pretty Bayou's Rudolph Whitlock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Pretty Bayou from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Allison in the 41st minute of play forced Pretty Bayou's goalkeeper Rudolph Whitlock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hal Glass kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rudolph Whitlock. That made the score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. If Hal Glass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lonnie Frey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rudolph Whitlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Lonnie Frey was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rudolph Whitlock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Webster in the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Dwight Webster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONTERREY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dwight Webster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Loren Campbell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Hal Glass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolph Whitlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loren Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scotty Aldrich having to interfere. Dwight Webster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dwight Webster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rudolph Whitlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alec Dodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, MONTERREY's goal looked a bit too open when Josiah Carrington came free, but Scotty Aldrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pretty Bayou's zone, Dwight Webster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolph Whitlock came out of the goal and Dwight Webster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MONTERREY were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pretty Bayou for a fine match.
