But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miles Boyle couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Joseph McHugh managed to get in a good position for a shot. toPGun's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph McHugh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Landon Puckett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. toPGun's Von LeBlanc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Pierre in the 17th minute of play. Von LeBlanc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Pierre, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, toPGun's Edward Whitaker got a free kick in the 21st minute. 28 minutes into the game, Malakas FC's Blaine Tyler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Von LeBlanc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Neil Pierre was the one to do the kick off. In the 65thth minute of the game Miles Boyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malakas FC's Landon Puckett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zackary Silver during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
