Stewart Blue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Webster in the 5th minute of the match. Klement Rutecki kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. MONTERREY's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Klement Rutecki scored to the left of an out of position Scotty Aldrich, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Littorio Veneto booed when MONTERREY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Klement Rutecki sped through MONTERREY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Scotty Aldrich. When Klement Rutecki fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Littorio Veneto's protests and gave Klement Rutecki a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Klement Rutecki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Luther kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Klement Rutecki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Scotty Aldrich having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, Hal Glass notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Littorio Veneto's Stewart Blue. Stewart Blue was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 47 played minutes, MONTERREY's Bill Whalen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stewart Blue came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MONTERREY reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hal Glass was the one to do the kick off. Jordan Sizemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Scotty Aldrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dwight Webster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Littorio Veneto's Klement Rutecki got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Klement Rutecki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klement Rutecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scotty Aldrich having to interfere. Scotty Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klement Rutecki in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Klement Rutecki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Greg Hammond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Blue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Glass in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Lonnie Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Klement Rutecki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reggie Elliott's late challenge caught a MONTERREY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reggie Elliott helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Littorio Veneto's Reggie Elliott got a free kick in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hal Glass managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTERREY's supporters rose to their feet, but Hal Glass was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stewart Blue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Littorio Veneto walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
