Olin McRae's late challenge caught a Littorio Veneto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olin McRae helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Beach in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stewart Blue saved Littorio Veneto from getting behind. Littorio Veneto's Stewart Blue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo McKinley in the 14th minute of play. Stewart Blue didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo McKinley went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Edmundo McKinley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klement Rutecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eric Haynes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Los Americans FC's goalkeeper Eric Haynes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lonnie Lind. When Klement Rutecki came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Littorio Veneto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klement Rutecki couldn't finish the play. Stewart Blue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo McKinley in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Jordan Sizemore fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eric Haynes, passed just outside the right post. Edmundo McKinley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stewart Blue having to interfere. When Lonnie Lind fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Littorio Veneto's protests and gave Lonnie Lind a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klement Rutecki in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Haynes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Littorio Veneto's Klement Rutecki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Haynes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lonnie Lind in the 59th minute of play forced Los Americans FC's goalkeeper Eric Haynes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Americans FC's zone, Klement Rutecki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Haynes came out of the goal and Klement Rutecki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the game, Klement Rutecki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eric Haynes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Los Americans FC's Olin McRae got a free kick in the 65th minute. Eric Haynes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan Sizemore in the 75th minute of play. Klement Rutecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eric Haynes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Rutecki in the 81st minute of play forced Los Americans FC's goalkeeper Eric Haynes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jordan Sizemore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Haynes having to make a save. Eric Haynes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Rutecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Los Americans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Rutecki came free, but Eric Haynes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Littorio Veneto lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
