In the 3rd minute, Ahmet Gümüş left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AYG SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. AYG SK's Denny Calvert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monroe Dyer in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willie Jenkins in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denny Calvert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cruz McCann charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cruz McCann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, AYG SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz McCann to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes AYG SK got a freekick which was hit by Cruz McCann. After 18 minutes of play, Hawkinsville's Johnny Ludwig made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denny Calvert was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of AYG SK booed when Hawkinsville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monroe Dyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franklin Irvin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denny Calvert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Franklin Irvin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawkinsville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AYG SK the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Hawkinsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Irvin to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute AYG SK were awarded a corner. Val Hogue went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Lewis Marino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Denny Calvert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willie Jenkins's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Monroe Dyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Denny Calvert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Cruz McCann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Willie Jenkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Denny Calvert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Logan Allison made a precise shot to the right of Denny Calvert. AYG SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Ludwig during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hawkinsville getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Johnny Ludwig hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Monroe Dyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Denny Calvert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cruz McCann was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 72 played minutes AYG SK got a freekick which was hit by Cruz McCann. 73 minutes into the game, Monroe Dyer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Denny Calvert. Monroe Dyer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. After 76 played minutes AYG SK got a freekick which was hit by Emery Jaramillo. When Willie Jenkins came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Hawkinsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willie Jenkins couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, AYG SK's Ahmet Gümüş got a free kick in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Franklin Irvin notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of AYG SK's Denny Calvert. Denny Calvert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Hawkinsville's Willie Jenkins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denny Calvert. Denny Calvert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Jenkins in the 94th minute of play forced AYG SK's goalkeeper Denny Calvert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Johnny Ludwig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The AYG SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hawkinsville were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
