São Paulo F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Trinidad Felix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan Varela in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bryan Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkinsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryan Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trinidad Felix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bryan Varela struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Trinidad Felix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkinsville. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo F.C's zone, Monroe Dyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trinidad Felix came out of the goal and Monroe Dyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C's goalkeeper Trinidad Felix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monroe Dyer. A collision led to Hawkinsville getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Abe Simmons hit a great ball. The supporters of São Paulo F.C booed when Hawkinsville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willie Jenkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Hawkinsville's goal looked a bit too open when Trenton Willett came free, but Jefferson Winter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trenton Willett hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Monroe Dyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Monroe Dyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawkinsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monroe Dyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Bryan Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monroe Dyer in the 61st minute of play forced São Paulo F.C's goalkeeper Trinidad Felix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brock Bond in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferson Winter saved Hawkinsville from getting behind. If Bryan Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Hawkinsville's goalkeeper Jefferson Winter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joey Quinones. The audience was convinced that Brock Bond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Winter was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Monroe Dyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Colby Hobson might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Winter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Colby Hobson ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilbert Bowers struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jefferson Winter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo F.C. Jefferson Winter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Bond in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Hawkinsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Logan Allison to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
