Samuel Love hit a great ball. Noel Grant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Romero in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Brendan Payne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Timothy Ford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Grant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee ignored Sporting Kay Cee's protests and gave Chuck Webber a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 55 played minutes Irmo got a freekick which was hit by Ace Dougherty. Thanks to some nice moves Milton Romero could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Noel Grant however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ace Dougherty during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ace Dougherty kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Milton Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Noel Grant made a huge save. Noel Grant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacy Novak, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Irmo's Noel Grant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacy Novak in the 83rd minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Sporting Kay Cee's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Lane came free, but Nick Calderwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Irmo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Kay Cee were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
