Ace Dougherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Harry McGill made a huge save. Ace Dougherty hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Guadalquivir got a corner. Irmo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Noel Grant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Harry McGill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Payne, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Brendan Payne recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harry McGill. Brendan Payne showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. In the 95th minute Ace Dougherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry McGill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Irmo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guadalquivir.
