In the 3rd minute, Ronnie Harrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Johnson Lancaster made a precise shot to the right of Nick Calderwood. Sporting Kay Cee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 7th minute Kory Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nick Calderwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nick Calderwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnson Lancaster in the 16th minute of play. Oliver Hoover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milan Sumner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnson Lancaster in the 22nd minute of play forced Sporting Kay Cee's goalkeeper Nick Calderwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30th play minutes Milton Romero shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Milan Sumner and just under the crossbar into goal. Milton Romero in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Milan Sumner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Sauk Rapids's Merrill Savage got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Milton Romero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Johnson Lancaster charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnson Lancaster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Sauk Rapids got a freekick which was hit by Johnson Lancaster. Cory Michael kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Sauk Rapids's goalkeeper Milan Sumner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milton Romero. Milan Sumner made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Milton Romero sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johnson Lancaster to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Hoover in the 51st minute of play forced Sauk Rapids's goalkeeper Milan Sumner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Milton Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milan Sumner was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Sauk Rapids's Milan Sumner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Romero in the 56th minute of play. Cory Michael's late challenge caught a Sporting Kay Cee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cory Michael helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sauk Rapids's Johnson Lancaster got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Oliver Hoover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milan Sumner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stacy Novak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Milan Sumner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Oliver Hoover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milton Romero in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milan Sumner saved Sauk Rapids from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Stacy Novak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Kay Cee's supporters rose to their feet, but Stacy Novak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milan Sumner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th match minute, Sauk Rapids was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cory Michael to maneuver through the defense. Milan Sumner came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Kay Cee's Stacy Novak. But to his dismay, Stacy Novak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Kory Kenney's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nick Calderwood firmly grabbed it by the left post. Oliver Hoover struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Milan Sumner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Kay Cee. Kory Kenney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Nick Calderwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kory Kenney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sporting Kay Cee fully deserved thier win.
