Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Milton Romero got the match started through his kick off. When Milton Romero came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Sporting Kay Cee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milton Romero couldn't finish the play. If Timothy Ford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edgardo Shaver fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virginia Cyclones's protests and gave Edgardo Shaver a yellow card for diving instead. 29 minutes into the game, Milton Romero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucas Slaughter. Milton Romero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Virginia Cyclones's Lucas Slaughter got control of the ball when Oliver Hoover tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Slaughter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milton Romero in the 37th minute. Lucas Slaughter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolland Hightower's late challenge caught a Sporting Kay Cee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolland Hightower helped the player get up and apologised. Virginia Cyclones's Lucas Slaughter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Virginia Cyclones from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Edgardo Shaver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timothy Ford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lucas Slaughter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton Romero came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lucas Slaughter could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stacy Novak in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Slaughter saved Virginia Cyclones from getting behind. 54 minutes into the game, Claudio Poe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nick Calderwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute Timothy Ford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Slaughter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Shaver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Nick Calderwood made a huge save. After 64 played minutes Sporting Kay Cee got a freekick which was hit by Walton Toth. Jeramy Goddard was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Virginia Cyclones's Lucas Slaughter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Romero in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Virginia Cyclones defense, Stacy Novak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Slaughter. The Virginia Cyclones fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Slaughter should have stopped the shot. During the 74th minute of the match Rolland Hightower completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rolland Hightower a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 75th minute, Rolland Hightower hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Virginia Cyclones's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Romero came free, but Lucas Slaughter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stacy Novak hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Milton Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, Sporting Kay Cee's Stacy Novak made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucas Slaughter was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th match minute, Virginia Cyclones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Titus Yu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sporting Kay Cee's Oliver Hoover got a free kick in the 87th minute. Nick Calderwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan McClain, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Milton Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Timothy Ford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milton Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
