Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damon Lehman started the match with the kick off. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Waller in the 3rd minute of play. George Riggs charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed George Riggs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Johnson Lane's George Riggs got a free kick in the 4th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Duke Kinsey came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Vogt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brice Waller in the 13th minute of the match. Damon Lehman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without D.J. Hargrove having to interfere. The supporters of Strathmore booed when Johnson Lane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taylor Rivas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Strathmore were awarded a corner. Angelo Lane went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Strathmore's Angelo Lane to fire away a dangerous shot which Aaron Vogt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brice Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jimmy Parra scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Vogt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Johnson Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Brice Waller came free, but Aaron Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Strathmore's Jimmy Parra made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Vogt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brice Waller in the 41st minute of play. D.J. Hargrove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damon Lehman, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duke Kinsey in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Strathmore's Duke Kinsey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Vogt. Aaron Vogt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Strathmore's Preston Horner got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaron Vogt was a little too slow when Duke Kinsey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-5. A collision led to Strathmore getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Duke Kinsey hit a great ball. Desmond Garcia took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised D.J. Hargrove. D.J. Hargrove dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Aaron Vogt made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Preston Horner sent off a good shot on target. D.J. Hargrove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desmond Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Hargrove breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfred Pruitt got free with Aaron Vogt in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Strathmore left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Johnson Lane.
