The referee gave Hancock FC a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thad Wong, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maryland Heights's Brady Bergstrom. 0-1. The supporters of Maryland Heights booed when Hancock FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thad Wong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Lang acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elvis Richter. In the 19th minute, Ricky May got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brady Bergstrom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrett Tolbert in the 21st minute of the match. When Hancock FC's Ricky May in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricky May in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brady Bergstrom saved Maryland Heights from getting behind. 47 minutes into the game, Elijah Brock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Brady Bergstrom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Maryland Heights's zone, Trey Burrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brady Bergstrom came out of the goal and Trey Burrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Maryland Heights's goalkeeper Brady Bergstrom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky May. Maryland Heights's Brady Bergstrom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Maryland Heights from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ricky May put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Brady Bergstrom. Jarrett Tolbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rudy Kimball's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfred Lang was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Brady Bergstrom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 92 minutes into the match, Maryland Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrett Tolbert came free, but Brady Bergstrom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Ricky May who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maryland Heights's Brady Bergstrom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Hancock FC fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Hancock FC's Ricky May looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hancock FC played a much better game than Maryland Heights and deserved their victory. The Maryland Heights players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
