Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stanley Gray got the match started through his kick off. After 10 minutes of play, White Sands's Phil Irwin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Monte Ledford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Monte Ledford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Irwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bogdan Harbaszewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeAndre Palacios having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, White Sands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cary Huerta to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, BEST FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Irwin came free, but Monte Ledford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monte Ledford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Logan Vogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute Bob Reagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but DeAndre Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanley Grays short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got DeAndre Palacios to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanley Gray got free with DeAndre Palacios in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. White Sands's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bob Reagan 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Logan Vogel was the one to do the kick off. DeAndre Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Dent in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Winfred Deering took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Monte Ledford to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to White Sands getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rodrick Walsh hit a great ball. White Sands's DeAndre Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanley Gray in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, White Sands's Phil Irwin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Monte Ledford. Monte Ledford yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. BEST FC's Bob Reagan got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, BEST FC's Stanley Gray made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. DeAndre Palacios was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, White Sands's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Gray came free, but DeAndre Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Reagan's late challenge caught a White Sands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bob Reagan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of White Sands booed when BEST FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Reagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Harbaszewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over DeAndre Palacios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Harbaszewski ran back to his position shaking his head. Winfred Deering received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Monte Ledford came out and tried to block the shot, but Winfred Deering slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched White Sands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
