Edmund Levine made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cole Hanson. Acushnet's Tommy Bowers suffered a concussion in the 10th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 10 minutes, Ronald Flaherty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Black Eagles FC and the Acushnet players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New York Black Eagles FC's Ronald Flaherty got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Tyron Fry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Florian Boudreaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. The New York Black Eagles FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when New York Black Eagles FC's Florian Boudreaux looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ty Sweet charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ty Sweet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, New York Black Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ty Sweet to maneuver through the defense. Sal Carbajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Fry, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyron Fry to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Acushnet's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Boudreaux came free, but Ivan Saucedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Easley hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Acushnet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyron Fry to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Easley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Donald Quintero put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Acushnet:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New York Black Eagles FC:s goal. The referee gave New York Black Eagles FC a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jordan Andersen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Acushnet's Ivan Saucedo. 3-0. Ivan Saucedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Flaherty in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, New York Black Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedric Jeffries to maneuver through the defense. If Ty Sweet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the New York Black Eagles FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
