With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Glover prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sal Carbajal made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Christopher Duran sent off a good shot on target. Ronald Flaherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cedric Jeffries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Avery Ruff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Beach Haven AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New York Black Eagles FC the free kick. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for North Beach Haven AFC! Sal Carbajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neal Li, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, North Beach Haven AFC's Joaquin Kirby dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Sal Carbajal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Kirby in the 44th minute of play. Sal Carbajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Kirby in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronald Flaherty was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Gabriel Glover managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when New York Black Eagles FC's Ronald Flaherty fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 83 minutes, Ronald Flaherty managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Black Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Flaherty was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Cory Henry could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Gabriel Glover however easily saved by the left post. 2-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Joaquin Kirby elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. New York Black Eagles FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
