Tyrone Willoughby's late challenge caught a Detroit AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tyrone Willoughby helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nene Fc's Tyrone Willoughby got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Rui Marques was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 5 minutes, Salvador Spicer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Detroit AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Spicer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Von Woodson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Marques went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jonas Siegel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Corbin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Detroit AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Siegel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salvador Spicer hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Rui Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nene Fc's Von Woodson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bryce Grace kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Brady Flynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jonas Siegel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Siegel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Corbin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Siegel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brady Flynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Nene Fc's Von Woodson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Nene Fc from getting a goal against them. Jason Stratton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Nene Fc booed when Detroit AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Spicer didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brady Flynn to make the kick off. A collision led to Detroit AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Salvador Spicer hit a great ball. Nene Fc's Cobi Talbot shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 52nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonas Siegel but with some difficulty. 54 minutes into the match, Detroit AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Siegel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Corbin. After having played for 55 minutes, Brady Flynn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nene Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brady Flynn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cobi Talbot hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Rui Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Von Woodson. Nene Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. It was beautiful to see Detroit AFC's Rui Marques in action when he in the 66th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 68th minute, Rui Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Von Woodson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Rui Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes, Brady Flynn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nene Fc and the Detroit AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Nene Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Flynn to maneuver through the defense. Bryce Grace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Siegel having to interfere. Vincenzo Hicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Siegel having to interfere. Nene Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Corbin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Brady Flynn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Brady Flynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Stratton struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Jonas Siegel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nene Fc. Nene Fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
