The crowd rose to their feet as Palos Verdes Estates's Zack Bentley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonas Caballero. That made the score 1-2 after 19 minutes of play. Las Vegas Futbol Club's Jonas Caballero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Las Vegas Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Alfonzo Hudson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Jonas Caballero made a huge save. Tyler Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curt Lay in the 25th minute of play. When Jeffrey Hollandsworth came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Las Vegas Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeffrey Hollandsworth couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Napoleon Hill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Alfonzo Hudson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jeffrey Hollandsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyler Drummond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeffrey Hollandsworth in the 39th minute of the match. Tyler Drummond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curt Lay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zack Bentley charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zack Bentley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palos Verdes Estates's Zack Bentley got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dallas Holbrook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dallas Holbrook took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyler Drummond. Tyler Drummond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Vaughn Rushing might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Caballero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vaughn Rushing ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Hollandsworth in the 75th minute of play forced Palos Verdes Estates's goalkeeper Tyler Drummond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Palos Verdes Estates's Vaughn Rushing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Caballero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. With a little luck, Palos Verdes Estates's Tyler Drummond got control of the ball when Dallas Holbrook tried to sneak it across the goal line.
