Los Gordos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saranda the free kick. A collision led to Los Gordos getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Freddie Tidwell hit a great ball. Jayson Slaughter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Meredith in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Los Gordos's Jay Seals got a free kick in the 16th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Domenic Biggs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jack Barbour. Saranda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenic Biggs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jack Barbour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenic Biggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Domenic Biggs came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Los Gordos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenic Biggs couldn't finish the play. When Tommie Horne came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Los Gordos fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Tatum in the 43rd minute of play forced Los Gordos's goalkeeper Jayson Slaughter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domenic Biggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jack Barbour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Meredith was the one to do the kick off. Saranda's Dario Meredith got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Los Gordos's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Meredith came free, but Jayson Slaughter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Xavier Tatum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saranda's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Tatum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jayson Slaughter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Domenic Biggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Saranda's zone, Tommie Horne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Barbour came out of the goal and Tommie Horne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Dario Meredith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saranda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Meredith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Meredith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jayson Slaughter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domenic Biggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dario Meredith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Los Gordos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saranda throughout the match.
