Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Austin Benedict took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ronnie Lawson came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by La Joya's Mitch Vasquez. But to his dismay, Mitch Vasquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austin Benedict in the 8th minute of play forced Suruçspor's goalkeeper Ronnie Lawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Lucas Garland sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ethan Healy threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Lucas Garland this time. A long shot from Todd Neff in the 16th minute of play was well struck, but Ethan Healy made a really good save at the right post. Ronnie Lawson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ronnie Lawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eli Elder, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Stephan Rowley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ethan Healy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stephan Rowley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronnie Lawson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitch Vasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half La Joya were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Stephan Rowley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Healy having to interfere. Darrell Wilkerson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Healy having to interfere. Ronnie Lawson came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by La Joya's Mitch Vasquez. But to his dismay, Mitch Vasquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Suruçspor's Ronnie Lawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eli Elder in the 73rd minute of play. Mitch Vasquez's late challenge caught a Suruçspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mitch Vasquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Mitch Vasquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eli Elder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Leif Morgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Suruçspor's goalkeeper Ronnie Lawson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eli Elder. A collision led to La Joya getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Bo Saunders hit a great ball. La Joya played a much better game than Suruçspor and deserved their victory. The Suruçspor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
