Duane Glenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Cervantes having to interfere. When Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosemont FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alonzo Donovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jermaine Cervantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perry MacDonald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Casey Whitfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jermaine Cervantes was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After 19 played minutes Rosemont FC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Kraft. Jermaine Cervantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casey Whitfield's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd match minute, Rosemont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Snow to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Kraft in the 26th minute of play forced Washburn FC's goalkeeper Isaiah Grove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Donovan's late challenge caught a Rosemont FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonzo Donovan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Washburn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Donovan to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Zane Nixon made a precise shot to the right of Isaiah Grove. Washburn FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Kraft in the 33rd minute of play forced Washburn FC's goalkeeper Isaiah Grove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosemont FC's Kent Snow got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Rosemont FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Rosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duane Glenn in the 39th minute of play forced Rosemont FC's goalkeeper Jermaine Cervantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Kraft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With his leg Isaiah Grove managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Rosemont FC's Ali Kraft fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ali Kraft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Isaiah Grove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ali Kraft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Rosemont FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Zane Nixon hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rocco Emery during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Rosemont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocco Emery to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute of the match Scottie Reid sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jermaine Cervantes skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Robbie Hicks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jermaine Cervantes. Rosemont FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbie Hicks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 67th minute, Zane Nixon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isaiah Grove, passed just outside the right post. Jermaine Cervantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Whitfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casey Whitfield in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jermaine Cervantes saved Rosemont FC from getting behind. Zane Nixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Isaiah Grove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Cervantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duane Glenn's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Jermaine Cervantes came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Washburn FC's Scottie Reid. But to his dismay, Scottie Reid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Casey Whitfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jermaine Cervantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casey Whitfield ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the game, Washburn FC's Duane Glenn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jermaine Cervantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
