Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Austin Benedict made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Austin Benedict who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PURDUE's Ramon Hargrove was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th match minute, La Joya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devin Coley to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in PURDUE's zone, Devin Coley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Hargrove came out of the goal and Devin Coley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, La Joya's Devin Coley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramon Hargrove made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ethan Healy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Felton in the 26th minute of the match. La Joya's Devin Coley got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of La Joya booed when PURDUE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Banks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, La Joya's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Felton came free, but Ethan Healy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of PURDUE booed when La Joya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eli Elder didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Maurice Felton in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurice Felton was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Maurice Felton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PURDUE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Felton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramon Hargrove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin Benedict in the 60th minute of play. If Devin Coley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Milan Hurley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 played minutes La Joya got a freekick which was hit by Art Yeager. In the 75th match minute, La Joya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eli Elder to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Austin Melendez fired a really elegant long shot, but Ethan Healy threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Maurice Felton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Healy having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Felton in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ethan Healy saved La Joya from getting behind. In the 82nd minute Austin Benedict shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Hargrove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milan Hurley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ethan Healy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Joya's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
