Casey Whitfield who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Lenny Hartley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Isaiah Grove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Stovall, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiley Patten in the 9th minute of play forced Washburn FC's goalkeeper Isaiah Grove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Hicks kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Isaiah Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Grace in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Monmouth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Grace to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Jake Haynes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Casey Whitfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Casey Whitfields short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Lenny Hartley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Casey Whitfield's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lenny Hartley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Casey Whitfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lenny Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Vito Grace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaiah Grove saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaiah Grove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Stovall in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Sylvester Copeland sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isaiah Grove skillfully saved the ball.

53 minutes into the game, Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenny Hartley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sylvester Copeland hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Isaiah Grove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Stovall in the 71st minute of the match. When Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monmouth's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casey Whitfield in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenny Hartley saved Monmouth from getting behind. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Casey Whitfield sped through Monmouth's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lenny Hartley. Vito Grace received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Isaiah Grove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaiah Grove made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Vito Grace sent off a good shot on target. Despite being the better team, Washburn FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
