Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lawrence Conley made the kick off and thus started the match. With his leg Bernie Gibson managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Poplar Tent's Salvador Goins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sergio Christian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Gibson having to interfere. 7 minutes in the game, Salvador Goins fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bernie Gibson having to interfere. Bernie Gibson was a little too slow when Sergio Christian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Pablo Sweet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Beasley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Sweet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence Conley in the 17th minute of play. Pablo Sweet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Conley, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Oviedo's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Christian came free, but Bernie Gibson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Oviedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Milligan to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Goins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence Conley in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pablo Sweet saved Poplar Tent from getting behind. Pablo Sweet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Conley in the 42nd minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Poplar Tent got a freekick which was hit by Russ Dobbins. In the 45th minute, Sergio Christian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th match minute, Oviedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinton Willard to maneuver through the defense. If Reynaldo Lin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Salvador Goins made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Poplar Tent's Pablo Sweet got control of the ball when Ignacio Beasley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sergio Christian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernie Gibson was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Sergio Christian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernie Gibson. Oviedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Christian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 63rd minute of the match Trinidad James sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Sweet skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Oviedo's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Christian came free, but Bernie Gibson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Oviedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Milligan to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Sweet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence Conley in the 68th minute of play. Bernie Gibson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Christian in the 71st minute of play. Pablo Sweet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Conley, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Poplar Tent's Pablo Sweet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Poplar Tent from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Pablo Sweet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pablo Sweet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Beasley in the 84th minute. Lawrence Conley hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Bernie Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Christian in the 88th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Poplar Tent's goalkeeper Pablo Sweet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Beasley. Oviedo were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after Poplar Tent's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Trinidad James took the corner. When the referee ended the match the Poplar Tent players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
