After 18 played minutes, Oviedo's Trinidad James shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Terrence Murry came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oviedo reached it. Ignacio Beasley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Rudolf Culver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernie Gibson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernie Gibson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Culver in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Ollie McGinnis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. bulldogs fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oviedo the free kick. After 29 played minutes bulldogs fc got a freekick which was hit by Ollie McGinnis. The supporters of Oviedo booed when bulldogs fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie McGinnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Beasley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrence Murry having to interfere. But to his dismay, Lawrence Conley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 44 minutes into the game, Ignacio Beasley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oviedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave bulldogs fc the free kick. Ignacio Beasley kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ron Pace kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lawrence Conley made a kick off. A.J. Schulz might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernie Gibson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A.J. Schulz ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 64 minutes, A.J. Schulz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. bulldogs fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but A.J. Schulz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rudolf Culver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marlon Soto kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The long shot by Trinidad James in the 68th minute really tested Terrence Murry's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to bulldogs fc getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ollie McGinnis hit a great ball. Lawrence Conley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Oviedo booed when bulldogs fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie McGinnis didn't get a good kick on the ball.
