Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronny Cummins started the match with the kick off. Monty Pepper came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls FC's Cícero Amaral. But to his dismay, Cícero Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Cummins in the 10th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls FC's goalkeeper Sam McIntyre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to New York Red Bulls FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marvin Beatty hit a great ball. Vernon Jarrell hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Roland Fair left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER MIAMI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 16 minutes into the game, INTER MIAMI's Ronny Cummins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sam McIntyre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 21st minute, Ronny Cummins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Monty Pepper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Amaral in the 42nd minute of play. INTER MIAMI's Monty Pepper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Amaral in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cícero Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cícero Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 6-1 became the score in the 53rd minute when Roland Fair elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Cummins in the 57th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls FC's goalkeeper Sam McIntyre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sam McIntyre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Cummins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, New York Red Bulls FC's Bart Boyle seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bart Boyle the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of New York Red Bulls FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bart Boyle had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of New York Red Bulls FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of INTER MIAMI:s goal. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for INTER MIAMI. Roland Fair stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sam McIntyre. 7-1. If Roscoe Hurd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Ronny Cummins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sam McIntyre. New York Red Bulls FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronny Cummins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Zachary Albert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls FC's Cícero Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Monty Pepper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ronny Cummins managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTER MIAMI's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Cummins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sam McIntyre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sam McIntyre came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER MIAMI's Roland Fair. But to his dismay, Roland Fair quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. New York Red Bulls FC's Sam McIntyre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Fair in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, INTER MIAMI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robby Fairchild to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th match minute, New York Red Bulls FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ward Sloan to maneuver through the defense. Sam McIntyre came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER MIAMI's Roland Fair. But to his dismay, Roland Fair quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-1. Sam McIntyre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Cummins, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. A well done corner resulted in Ronny Cummins drilling the ball in to score 12-1 behind New York Red Bulls FC's goalkeeper. INTER MIAMI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
