Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) San Francisco 49ers's Kermit Fujieda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save San Francisco 49ers from getting a goal against them. In the 5th match minute, San Francisco 49ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldo Bouchard to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in San Francisco 49ers's zone, Trinidad James stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kermit Fujieda came out of the goal and Trinidad James tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Francisco 49ers's Kermit Fujieda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Milligan in the 13th minute of play. Leif Milligan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Leif Milligan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Oviedo's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Cole came free, but Bernie Gibson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leif Milligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matt Anderson fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Francisco 49ers's protests and gave Matt Anderson a yellow card for diving instead. Kermit Fujieda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Beasley in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Oviedo's Lawrence Conley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kermit Fujieda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kermit Fujieda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Conley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Pope might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernie Gibson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Pope ran back to his position shaking his head. Kermit Fujieda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Conley in the 30th minute of the match. Kermit Fujieda made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ignacio Beasley sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lawrence Conley in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kermit Fujieda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lawrence Conley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kermit Fujieda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Josiah Gonzalez charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josiah Gonzalez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Francisco 49ers's Josiah Gonzalez got a free kick in the 39th minute. Rufus Meeks's late challenge caught a Oviedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rufus Meeks helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to San Francisco 49ers getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rufus Meeks hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Cole made a kick off. Felix Pope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Gibson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Pope got free with Bernie Gibson in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Oviedo's goalkeeper Bernie Gibson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Pope. Matt Anderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Bernie Gibson made a huge save. Tim Rhoades lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oviedo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 68th minute there was a penalty for San Francisco 49ers. Josiah Gonzalez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bernie Gibson. 0-1. Pedro Cole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bernie Gibson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, one of Oviedo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oviedo. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, San Francisco 49ers's Josiah Gonzalez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bernie Gibson. Oviedo's Leif Milligan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernie Gibson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Pope's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Ignacio Beasley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kermit Fujieda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Pedro Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernie Gibson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Cole in the 95th minute of play forced Oviedo's goalkeeper Bernie Gibson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Francisco 49ers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
