Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Weldon Numbers got the match started through his kick off. Willie Carbajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waylon Harmon, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute Weldon Numbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Sweet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Poplar Tent's Salvador Goins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willie Carbajal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pablo Sweet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weldon Numbers in the 15th minute of the match. Salvador Goins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Willie Carbajal made a huge save. In the 20th match minute, Monte Vista AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Townsend to maneuver through the defense. Weldon Numbers took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Sweet. Pablo Sweet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poplar Tent's goalkeeper Pablo Sweet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franklin Townsend charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Townsend the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Monte Vista AFC's Franklin Townsend got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Sergio Christian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poplar Tent fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Pablo Sweet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerald Vigil in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Weldon Numbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Sweet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Goins was the one to do the kick off. When Kasey Weaver fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monte Vista AFC's protests and gave Kasey Weaver a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Kasey Weaver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Monte Vista AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Christian came free, but Willie Carbajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poplar Tent's Sergio Christian got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Poplar Tent's Salvador Goins in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monte Vista AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Poplar Tent's Sergio Christian got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monte Vista AFC's goalkeeper Willie Carbajal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Salvador Goins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willie Carbajal came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Poplar Tent's Salvador Goins. But to his dismay, Salvador Goins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Sergio Christian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Carbajal having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Poplar Tent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Baca to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Whitney Lofton in the 89th minute really tested Pablo Sweet's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Franklin Townsend sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monte Vista AFC's Willie Carbajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Goins in the 97th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Poplar Tent had played much better football throughout.
