Juan Goodman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Olin Izturis made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Juan Goodman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis. Olin Izturis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damon Askew kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Barlow in the 10th minute of play. Logan Alvaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ismael Everett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Arbutus FC got a freekick which was hit by Damon Askew. 15 minutes into the match, Kraken AFC's goalkeeper Olin Izturis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Goodman. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Barlow in the 17th minute of play. When Garry Bouchard fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kraken AFC's protests and gave Garry Bouchard a yellow card for diving instead. Olin Izturis was a little too slow when Diego Barlow got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 27th minute, Damon Askew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garry Bouchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kraken AFC's Logan Alvaro got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Olin Izturis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olin Izturis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clint Ham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis got control of the ball when Juan Goodman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olin Izturis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Goodman in the 45th minute. Diego Barlow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Olin Izturis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Arbutus FC booed when Kraken AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bronson Frank didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Logan Alvaro came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Kraken AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Logan Alvaro couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Arbutus FC's Juan Goodman got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute Diego Barlow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Izturis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kraken AFC's Olin Izturis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Goodman in the 62nd minute of play. Olin Izturis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Domenic Barajas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kraken AFC and the Arbutus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kraken AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Domenic Barajas hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Juan Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Izturis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Arbutus FC got a freekick which was hit by Frankie Sherrill. A collision led to Kraken AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Domenic Barajas hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Diego Barlow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olin Izturis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Goodman scored 3-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olin Izturis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Garry Bouchard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ismael Everett, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Juan Goodman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olin Izturis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Kraken AFC's zone, Juan Goodman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olin Izturis came out of the goal and Juan Goodman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Arbutus FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Russ Arroyo hit a great ball.
