The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Leon Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilbur Cormier. South Beach FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leon Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Fernandez in the 7th minute of play forced South Beach FC's goalkeeper Wilbur Cormier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Lyle Irvin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evan Mullins. Donalsonville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lyle Irvin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 13 played minutes South Beach FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Grant. In the 16th minute, Leon Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Donalsonville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 21 minutes of play, Donalsonville's Leon Fernandez made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilbur Cormier was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Evan Burks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Donalsonville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 29 minutes into the match, Leon Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilbur Cormier. Wilbur Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Keene in the 32nd minute of the match. Evan Mullins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Grant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes, Evan Burks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donalsonville and the South Beach FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Donalsonville getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Evan Burks hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Shawn Keene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbur Cormier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilbur Cormier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Fernandez in the 41st minute of play. Evan Burks blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilbur Cormier having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Leon Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilbur Cormier. South Beach FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leon Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. The wind increased when Luciano Grant made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Donalsonville's Wilbur Cormier threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leon Fernandez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Keene in the 54th minute of play forced South Beach FC's goalkeeper Wilbur Cormier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilbur Cormier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Keene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilbur Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evan Burks, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, South Beach FC's goalkeeper Wilbur Cormier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Keene. Drew Fisher hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Lyle Irvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan Mullins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilbur Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Fernandez in the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Shawn Keene recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilbur Cormier. Shawn Keene showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Wilbur Cormier came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Donalsonville's Leon Fernandez. But to his dismay, Leon Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-9. Quintin Alvarado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbur Cormier having to interfere. Wilbur Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Fernandez in the 83rd minute of the match. Wilbur Cormier made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Shawn Keene sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, South Beach FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Fernandez came free, but Wilbur Cormier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Russ Whitney cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-11. Wilbur Cormier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyle Irvin in the 97th minute of play forced Donalsonville's goalkeeper Evan Mullins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Donalsonville could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than South Beach FC throughout the match.
