Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gregory Short made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the match, Ronny Ervin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Woodrow Patrick. Energy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronny Ervin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FC West Palm Beach's Jonatan Kellbom got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Woodrow Patrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Noel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Energy FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gregory Short hit a great ball. Jonatan Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woodrow Patrick having to interfere. Woodrow Patrick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Kellbom went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jonatan Kellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC West Palm Beach's Ronny Ervin got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Smalls's late challenge caught a FC West Palm Beach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Smalls helped the player get up and apologised. Patrick Smalls hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jonatan Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woodrow Patrick having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Kellbom in the 32nd minute of play forced Energy FC's goalkeeper Woodrow Patrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paul Noel came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC West Palm Beach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Noel couldn't finish the play. Wincent Domaracki hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the last second Claudinho Taffarel throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gregory Short in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 41 minutes into the match, Paul Noel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Woodrow Patrick. Energy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Noel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jonatan Kellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC West Palm Beach's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Kellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Woodrow Patrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Paul Noel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Woodrow Patrick was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After 47 minutes of play, Energy FC's Gregory Short made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Jonatan Kellbom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Woodrow Patrick, 1-4. Gregory Short took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Taffarel. Claudinho Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. FC West Palm Beach's Eustacio Fresco quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Denis Stearns, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Eustacio Fresco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes Energy FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Steele. FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David McKinnon in the 67th minute of play. Claudinho Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David McKinnon went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Jonatan Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Woodrow Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC West Palm Beach booed when Energy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Short didn't get a good kick on the ball. David McKinnon charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David McKinnon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonatan Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Woodrow Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Mathews in the 87th minute of play forced FC West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Kellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Woodrow Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David McKinnon, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Ronny Ervin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Woodrow Patrick made a huge save.
