Energy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Barlow was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Energy FC's Woodrow Patrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Barlow in the 33rd minute of play. Ismael Everett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Short, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Everett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregory Short in the 37th minute of play. Dario Steele kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Denny Roark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Arbutus FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Clint Ham hit a great ball. Woodrow Patrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Goodman in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when David McKinnon got free with Ismael Everett in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Energy FC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Energy FC's Gregory Short looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 66th minute, Dario Steele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Juan Goodman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Woodrow Patrick. In the 74th minute of the match Jesus Arellano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Everett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Gregory Short ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Everett was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. Woodrow Patrick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Goodman's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Goodman in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Woodrow Patrick saved Energy FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 5-4 when Juan Goodman sped through Energy FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Woodrow Patrick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Goodman in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Woodrow Patrick saved Energy FC from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Arbutus FC had played much better football throughout.
